Extremely pleased with the courtesy and welcoming nature of the medical staff! Especially since the care provided met my initial expectations. A very pleasant stay overall.
I am relieved to have felt no pain during or after my treatment. No unpleasant surprises for a first visit to Portugal. I highly recommend it, especially for those who are apprehensive about leaving the UK.
I can say that I am highly satisfied with the aesthetic result, and the treatment costs are still lower than other quotes I received. I don’t regret making the trip!

Dental care in England can be accessed either through the NHS or the private sector. The NHS does not reimburse dental care like a health insurance would, but offers subsidised fixed rates, divided into three pricing bands:
NHS Dental Charges 2024–2025:
Band 1 – £26.80
Covers examination, diagnosis, advice, scale and polish, and X-rays if needed.
Band 2 – £73.50
Includes everything in Band 1 plus fillings, extractions, and root canal treatment.
Band 3 – £319.10
Includes everything in Bands 1 and 2 plus crowns, dentures, and bridges.
These charges apply per course of treatment, not per individual procedure.
The NHS does not retroactively reimburse dental care, even if provided by NHS dentists. However, some people may be entitled to free dental care or financial help, including:
People receiving certain benefits (Universal Credit, Income Support, etc.)
Children under 18 (or under 19 in full-time education)
Pregnant women or those who have given birth in the last 12 months
If you choose to visit a private dentist:
You are fully responsible for the costs, unless you have private dental insurance (which is optional in the UK).
There is no reimbursement from the NHS for treatment received in the private sector.
Reimbursement for dental care received in the EU is no longer guaranteed following Brexit.
The NHS no longer reimburses planned treatment abroad, except in rare and exceptional cases with prior approval.
Only emergency treatment during a trip abroad may be considered for reimbursement, and only up to NHS rates.
Because we're here to support you and make dental care more accessible, we also handle all the steps for your treatment. That’s why we offer up to €500 towards your accommodation at our partner hotel: Hotel Do Norte.
